I’m 43 and a father and husband. I work out regularly and eat a clean diet. I’ve struggled with chronic neck and back pain so I was informed about Kratom by several people at my gym. I bought some about a year ago and was instantly hooked bc it zapped the pain away and gave me that euphoric energy, what’s not to love right??
Well here I am 1 year later and i’m SOOO ready to kick this!! It’s costing me tons of money and having an overall negative impact on my life. I feel like it’s got a hold on me and i’m no longer in control. I don’t know exactly how much I take, but I usually take 4 large teaspoons/day including 1 in the middle of the night bc i’m tossing and turning and have restless legs. Embarrassed to say it’s having an impact on my sex life as well. i’m basically lasting about 30 seconds in the sack which was NEVER the case before I started consuming large amounts of this crap. I am eager to start tapering but my question is about the pill box….i’m supposed to weight the powder and then put it into the little box?? then what? dump the powder into my mouth? I just want to make sure i’m doing this right. I usually just put the powder right in my mouth and wash it down with water…..would buying the pills make this any easier? Thanks for you support! It’s nice to know i’m not alone in this struggle.November 30, 2019 at 10:12 pm #1093ladystephParticipant
Hi there, I’m new to this forum but not new to kratom… about to start a taper myself after 3+ years of daily use. To answer your question about using the pill case- it’s best to buy some 00 or 000 capsules and fill them yourself then count out your daily dosage and keep them in the case. Purchasing pre-filled caps is way expensive and definitely don’t dump the powder directly into your mouth from the case! I’m picturing that and it’s making me chuckle 🙂 Anyways I’m ready to get off it too, I’m 37 and my husband and I want a baby and I can’t be on K when I get pregnant, besides it just doesn’t work like it once did. It’s very tough but also easy if you have discipline. I’m in need of ppl to talk to and help keep me accountable. I’d love to hear from some of you in the same situation. ThanksDecember 1, 2019 at 5:25 am #1094JessKeymaster
Hey cconley and welcome.
First of all, I wish you the bst on your journey to quit Kratomm. Once you figure out a method for reducing your doses slowly over time, you’ll be able to to do it no problem.
You can take your Kratom with the usual toss and wash method straight out of the pill container. That’s why we recommend the detachable containers that have 3 or 4 sections. It would be hard to use a large pill container for this without making a mess.
You might also pour it into a spoon, or even a folded piece of paper. Any way to get it down without making a mess or being too inconvenient is good.
If it’s easier for you to just measure each dose with a measuring spoon or something, that is an option too.
It’s not an exact science. As long as you are reducing the amount you take consistently, you will eventually be at a point where you can stop without tossing and turning all night.December 1, 2019 at 5:29 am #1095JessKeymaster
Congrats on deciding you want a baby! No doubt Kratom does not seem like a good mix…
Making your own capsules sounds like a great idea if you’re willing to go through the trouble. It’s definitely a good way to be accurate with the amount you take as well as not make a mess.
I moderate this forum and was once a person struggling with Kratom myself. I quit a little less than a year ago using a method very similar to the one found on this blog.
I’m happy to chat with you and hopefully some of the others will chime in. There are a few around.
